The Role

The Analytics Engineer is responsible for analytics engineering projects across the Caribbean, Central, and South America. They serve as the strategic link between BI and IT&S, delivering solutions that create business value.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience delivering analytics engineering projects that advance the data roadmap for the Caribbean region.
• Skills to implement services and components for enterprise-wide data use.
• Ability to participate in design discussions focusing on scalability, design, and best practices.
• Experience automating analytics solutions, including predictive modeling and BI reporting.
• Collaboration skills with IT&S, Data Office, software/data engineers, and DevOps to build analytical capabilities.
• Experience supporting and maintaining successful products.
• Understanding of risk considerations in daily activities.

Dimensions

• Supporting Caribbean, Central America, and Uruguay.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is an asset.

Minimum Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on development experience.
• 3+ years deploying data engineering solutions in production.
• Proficiency with relational databases (SQL Server), Python, R, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, etc.
• Designing scalable solutions with solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in cloud environments such as GCP with PaaS & IaaS.
• Agile methodology experience.
• Knowledge of MySQL, SQL, Stored Procedures, HDFS, MapReduce, and related tools.
• Programming skills in Python, Scala, Java.
• Strong ETL, data modeling, and data quality experience.
• Experience with PowerBI.
