Job summary

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Analytics, Marketing, or Finance with strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Solid understanding of lending products (Credit Cards, Lines of Credit) and familiarity with Risk Management practices.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools and technologies, including GCP/Big Data environments, Python, R, SAS, SQL, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recurring reporting and deep-dive analysis on portfolio performance, including engagement, profitability, and health metrics.
  • Translate portfolio performance trends into concise insights and recommendations for business partners and senior leadership.
  • Identify drivers of portfolio changes and distinguish impacts from acquisition, customer behaviour, product mix, pricing, utilization, macroeconomics, and risk.

The Role

The Manager, Analytics & BI supports portfolio management analytics across Credit Card and Unsecured Lending portfolios, with a focus on monitoring portfolio health, profitability, and customer behaviour. The incumbent will lead tracking, reporting, and insight generation on how back book and front book dynamics influence portfolio performance, customer mix, and revenue outcomes. This role partners closely with Finance, Product, Risk, Marketing, business, operations, and technology teams to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations that support portfolio optimization and business decision‑making.

Portfolio Management, Performance Tracking & Data-Driven Insights



  • Support portfolio management analytics across Credit Card and Unsecured Lending portfolios, including ongoing tracking of performance, profitability, customer behaviour, and key portfolio health indicators.

  • Define, maintain, and enhance portfolio health scorecards and KPI frameworks to monitor customer, account, and financial performance trends.

  • Conduct back book, front book, cohort, and vintage analysis to understand how customer groups and portfolio mix are evolving over time.

  • Identify emerging portfolio trends, risks, and opportunities across customer segments, products, channels, vintages, and behavioural groups to inform business priorities and portfolio optimization strategies.

  • Provide regular and ad hoc analytical support on portfolio performance, profitability, and customer behaviour in partnership with Finance, Product, Risk, Marketing, and business teams.

  • Develop clear insights and recommendations to support portfolio growth, customer engagement, retention, balance management, and customer value creation.

  • Manage and prioritize recurring reporting deliverables, portfolio deep dives, and ad hoc analysis requests from internal stakeholders and business partners.


Reporting, Insights & Portfolio Analytics


  • Lead recurring reporting and deep-dive analysis on portfolio performance, including customer engagement, utilization, transactor versus revolver behaviour, profitability, and other key health metrics.

  • Translate portfolio performance trends into concise insights and recommendations for business partners and senior leadership, with clear articulation of drivers, risks, opportunities, and implications for portfolio strategy.

  • Identify key drivers of portfolio changes and distinguish between acquisition, customer behaviour, product mix, pricing, utilization, macroeconomic, and risk impacts.

  • Partner with Finance and business teams to assess profitability, revenue drivers, customer value, and the financial implications of portfolio mix changes.

  • Develop forward-looking indicators and early-warning views to identify emerging risks and opportunities across the portfolio.

  • Monitor macroeconomic and industry trends to assess their impact on portfolio performance and profitability.

  • Work with Global Risk Management to understand risk drivers and support strategies that balance growth, risk, and return.


Customer Focus, Risk Management & Controls


  • Champion a customer focused culture and leverage broader bank capabilities to deepen client relationships.

  • Consider the Bank’s risk appetite, policies, and controls in day to day decisions and analysis.

  • Ensure effective business controls, including operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk, in alignment with the Bank’s risk frameworks.


Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Statistics, or related field. MBA, CFA, FRM, or Master’s in Analytics preferred.

  • 4+ years of experience in Analytics, Marketing, or Finance, with strong analytical and statistical skills.

  • Solid understanding of the bank’s lending products (Credit Cards, Lines of Credit) and familiarity with Risk Management practices.

  • Proficiency with analytical tools and technologies, including GCP/Big Data environments, Python, R, SAS, SQL, and Excel.

  • Experience working with large-scale account-level, customer-level, transaction-level, and financial performance data to support portfolio analytics and business decision-making.

  • Proven ability to extract, interpret, and translate data into meaningful, actionable business insights.

  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, structured problem-solving approach, and motivation to learn, grow, and continuously improve.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Excellent prioritization, planning, presentation, project management, people leadership, and relationship building skills; consulting experience is an asset.
