Western University in London, Ontario, seeks a Manager, Administration and Finance (MAF) to oversee day-to-day operations of Western Research's Animal Care and Veterinary Services (ACVS), including administration, HR, finance and supply chain.
The MAF will guide senior leaders on risk, compliance, and policy, drive continuous improvement, monitor KPIs, and lead projects from conception to completion while fostering a collaborative, high-performance team.
The base salary will be $76,490 - $109,190 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.

The Manager, Administration and Finance (MAF) will be accountable for managing the day-to-day business operations of Western Research's Animal Care and Veterinary Services (ACVS), including the core areas of administration, human resources, finance and supply chain. The role will provide leadership in the development and implementation of operational and strategic plans to ensure both the current and future needs of the University are met. The MAF will support the development and administration of Departmental policies, practices, procedures and processes to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services to Western's research community.
The MAF will provide comprehensive consultation and expert guidance to the senior leadership team on a variety of topics to identify key business risks and opportunities. The MAF will ensure due diligence has been performed with respect to adherence to University policies and procedures, and compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory guidelines. The role will provide leadership in the design and execution of risk mitigation strategies, ensuring appropriate monitoring and controls are in place. The MAF will lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives to support a collaborative team-based culture and identify and report on key performance indicators to measure and communicate the status of core business areas against department goals and objectives. The role will also provide leadership in developing and executing initiatives and courses of action to sustain and enhance the performance of the unit.
