Job Title: ACCOUNTING MANAGER*Location:* Vancouver, BC - this is a full-time in office position*Salary Range:* $80,000 to $110,000 CAD per year, depending on experience and qualifications.*Job Overview:*The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting operations for our portfolio of construction projects and properties. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial records and will be instrumental in supporting financial planning and decision-making processes. This role will lead the accounting team, drive process improvements, and provide insights that contribute to the company's financial health and growth.*Key Responsibilities:*· Manage, mentor, and supervise junior accountants.· Handle all aspects of project and property accounting with minimal supervision.· Prepare, review and analyse monthly financial statements of multi-companies, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.· Prepare monthly tax filing and remittances (e.g. GST, WCB etc.).· Prepare year-end working papers and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.· Prepare annual CAM and Property Tax recovery reconciliation and billings.· Assist in preparing cash-flow forecast.· Prepare bi-weekly payroll for hourly site staff.· Enter, review and revise AP coding to ensure accuracy.· Provide support and oversight in preparing budgets for construction projects and properties.· Enter construction and property budgets in Sage 300.· Prepare project job cost reports, including cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting for construction projects and properties.· Collaborate with project and development teams, property managers and other departments to provide financial support and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.· Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, workflows, and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost optimization.· Have full accountability and responsibility for the portfolio and their own work.· Provide coverage for accountants may be required.· Other duties and special projects as required.*Qualifications:*· CPA designation is strongly preferred, or progress towards or completion of an accounting designation.· 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.· Experience in project development and property management is mandatory.· Self-starter and organized.· Outstanding ability to multi-task with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., Sage300 and Buildum).· Proven ability to lead and develop a team, foster a collaborative environment, and manage competing priorities effectively.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Casual dress* Company events* Dental care* Disability insurance* Employee assistance program* Extended health care* Life insurance* On-site parking* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Wellness programFlexible language requirement:* French not requiredSchedule:* Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
