Our assignments include disputes in commercial litigation, family law, fraud, business valuations, business disputes, natural and man-made catastrophes, lost profits, and insurance. Our partners and senior staff regularly provide extensive litigation services and expert witness testimony in courts, arbitrations, and mediations worldwide.

Job Description

Our Toronto office is looking for a Manager to join our team.

We seek a candidate with experience in forensic accounting services, particularly relating to the quantification of commercial insurance claims, who is interested in pursuing a career with MDD.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and complete assignments efficiently and accurately
• Work closely with clients; attend meetings and communicate analysis results
• Develop and maintain technical expertise related to specific engagements
• Assist other offices with workload and technical matters
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants

Additional responsibilities include participating in new business development and maintaining current client relationships. Some travel may be required depending on assignment needs.

Requirements

MDD is flexible regarding specific requirements; however, the preferred qualifications include :

Bachelor’s Degree

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or other relevant professional designation

Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience

Experience in measuring commercial insurance claims, including business interruption

Experience with cyber claims, personal injury claims, or accident benefits claims is a plus

Proven ability to manage staff

Strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Motivated to exceed client expectations and develop leadership skills

Ability to work collaboratively across teams

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams

Additional language skills are advantageous
