Job summary

Achieve CPAs LLP in Burnaby seeks a new or experienced manager to lead engagements, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality assurance, compilation, and tax work for Canadian clients.

You will oversee multiple engagements, manage client service, production, and billing, and promote the firm’s quality standards while contributing to firm-wide initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring collaboration with partners and a commitment to process improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified CPA with a minimum 4 years of recent public practice experience.
• Skilled in assurance and compilation engagements.
• Experience with preparing and reviewing tax returns for personal and corporate clients.
• Aptitude for improving internal systems and processes.
• Strong team leadership skills with aptitude for training and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple engagements and associates.
• Develop and maintain all aspects of client services.
• Manages assurance, accounting, and tax engagements.
• Manages aspects of production and client billing.
• Actively lead and develop work teams to successfully meet and exceed a varying range of client needs and expectations.
• Support and participate in firm wide initiatives.
• Promotes the firm’s Quality Control Standards.

Requirements

• Qualified CPA with a minimum 4 years of recent public practice experience

• Skilled in the preparation of financial statements for assurance engagements
• Experience with preparing and reviewing tax returns for both personal and corporate clients along with related tax planning for owner-managed businesses
• Aptitude for improving internal systems and processes
• Strong team leadership skills with aptitude for training and developing staff
