Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Client Services Associate in Toronto to manage client inquiries and investment instructions, coordinating updates, transfers, and contributions while supporting discretionary trades to uphold service standards.

The role requires CSC and CPH, 5+ years in client service within financial services, and licensing within 30 days. High net worth experience is preferred; strong time management and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business or finance.
• CSC and CPH completed.
• Licensed INV Registered Representative or eligible within 30 days.
• Minimum 5 years’ customer service experience, including 2–3 years within the financial services industry or equivalent.
• Experience preferably serving high net worth clientele.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle email and phone inquiries from stakeholders regarding client accounts.
• Process and coordinate investment instructions, account setups, updates, transfers, redemptions, and contributions.
• Execute discretionary trades supporting redemption and contribution requests.
• Primary contact for resolving problems and complaints by investigating, recording details, referring matters, and following up.
• Provide guidance on SMA program procedures, forms, and practices.
• Assist with monthly fee billing.
• Analyze departmental trends and prepare reports such as volume and escalation tracking.
• Support delivery of service standards with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Job description

• Handle email and phone inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding client accounts


• Process and coordinate investment instructions, account setups, updates, transfers, redemptions, and contributions


• Execute discretionary trades supporting redemption and contribution requests


• Act as primary contact for resolving problems and complaints by investigating, recording details, referring matters to relevant departments, and following up


• Provide guidance and support on SMA program procedures, forms, and practices


• Assist with monthly fee billing


• Analyze departmental trends and prepare reports such as volume and escalation tracking


• Support delivery of service standards with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and timeliness

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in a related field, such as a degree, diploma, or certificate in Business or Finance


• Successful completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH)


• Licensed as an INV Registered Representative or eligible to be licensed as an IR within 30 days


• Minimum of 5 years’ customer service experience, including 2–3 years within the financial services industry or equivalent


• Experience preferably serving high net worth clientele


• Excellent time management and organizational skills


• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
