Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager – BreastCheck, the incumbent will provide and perform quality service to the clients of BreastCheck at the Winnipeg and Mobile Screening clinics in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program.
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses, or completion within two years if no one meets this qualification.
  • A member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists – Manitoba (CAMRT‑MB), or eligible to obtain and be an active member prior to start date.
  • Compliance with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems.
  • Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and current Driver’s Abstract upon hire.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings, and willingness to travel to communities across Manitoba, including rural and remote areas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good physical health to meet the requirements of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Good employment record.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
Assessment Criteria
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of positioning and compression, clinical and technical factors, radiation safety, protection, and quality control relevant to duties.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work independently and as a positive member of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
  • Previous mammography experience.
Assets
  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
  • Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad.
  • Ability to speak French.
Compensation

Salary range: $41,951 – $52,709, depending on experience.

This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, an Adult Abuse Registry Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will pay any service charges incurred.
