Qualifications

  • Completion of Mammography 1 and 2 certificates from CAMRT.

  • Prepare written and electronic reports for all procedures.
  • Maintain quality control testing and calibration.

Job description

Previous working experience at a CAR Mammography Accredited and Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) facility preferred

X-ray and Bone Density experience preferred

Current Registration with College of Medical Radiation Technologists on Ontario (CMRTO)

Current membership with the CAMRT

Successful completion of Mammography 1 and 2 certificates from the CAMRT

Completion of a BCLS program within the past months, Level II : Basic Rescuer Certification

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Perform mammography, Bone Density and / or Breast Ultrasound procedures in the clinic setting as required

Participate in teaching, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs / activities

Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care

Perform cross-functional / site responsibilities as assigned

Maintain quality control testing / calibration and physics regularly

Rotates within the clinic and by shifts as required

Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results

Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure Mammography machine and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner

Liaise and assist in filtering OBSP results to coordinate callbacks and arrange biopsies at our affiliated facility
