Qualifications

Job Title: Maitre D'/Reservations Manager

Location: Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar

Boulevard is a premier dining destination known for its exquisite culinary offerings, exceptional service, and a sophisticated ambiance. We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and experienced Maitre D' / Reservations Manager to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a world-class guest experience while overseeing the reservation process and front-of-house operations.


Key Responsibilities:
• Guest Relations & Front-of-House Leadership
o Greet guests upon arrival with warmth, professionalism, and personalized attention.
o Manage guest seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of space while maintaining an elevated guest experience.
o Anticipate guest needs, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
o Provide exceptional hospitality to all guests, reinforcing our commitment to world-class service.
• Reservation Management
o Oversee all reservations, managing booking systems and optimizing seating flow for peak hours.
o Communicate with guests to confirm reservations, accommodating special requests and preferences when possible.
o Handle VIP reservations ensuring tailored service and a seamless dining experience.
o Work closely with the management and kitchen team to manage guest flow, ensuring efficient service.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration
o Supervise and train front desk staff, fostering a culture of teamwork professionalism, and hospitality excellence.
o Lead by example in maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
o Coordinate with waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation and exceptional guest satisfaction.
o Assist with scheduling and staffing to maintain optimal guest service levels during peak and off-peak hours.
• Operational Efficiency
o Oversee front-of-house logistics, ensuring timely seating and service of guests.
o Ensure proper communication between the front desk and kitchen to maintain timely and accurate service.
o Maintain reservation logs and track special requests for future reference.
o Monitor guest feedback and provide insights to management for continuous improvement.
o Work service hours 5 days a week, assisting on the floor as required.
• Event & Special Occasion Coordination
o Organize and oversee special events, and group reservations.
o Collaborate with event planners, chefs, and other departments to deliver seamless events and celebrations.
o Ensure that special occasion requests (e.g., birthday celebrations, anniversaries, etc.) are properly handled.


Qualifications:
• Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-end restaurant management or in a similar Maitre D' / Reservations Manager role.
o Extensive knowledge of OpenTable reservation system and front-of-house operations.
o Experience with managing guest relationships, handling VIPs, and dealing with high-stress situations with grace.
• Skills & Abilities:
o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and staff alike.
o Strong leadership and organizational skills with an eye for detail and efficiency.
o Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
o Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
o Proficient in reservation management software.
