The Opportunity

Position Summary:

Under limited supervision, performs a variety of skilled and complex maintenance and repair duties in accordance with accepted standards and procedures. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, installing, repairing, and maintaining complex clinical equipment and systems such as wheelchairs, lifts, medication carts, scales, and patient beds. Duties also include maintaining logs and records, implementing and completing preventative maintenance programs, and providing leadership support when required. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma is required
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle required
  • Minimum two years related experience in clinical equipment maintenance and repair in an institutional setting is required
  • Mechanical aptitude is required
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Ability to read and understand written instruction
  • Basic computer skills, including daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system
