The Opportunity

Position Summary:

Under general supervision performs a wide range of skilled mechanical maintenance and repair work related to the building, equipment, and operating systems as per the Carewest standards.

Representative work includes: Demand facility maintenance as required by the customer. Preventative maintenance on all facility systems and equipment , which includes but not limited to HVAC, Life safety systems, Nurse Call, Telephones, patient beds and lifts, plumbing and drainage systems. Provide assistance to all other maintenance staff, as well as contractors. Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:

- High School Diploma is required.

- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle required.

- Minimum two years related experience in clinical equipment maintenance and repair in an institutional setting is required.

- Mechanical aptitude is required.

- Demonstrated experience working with customers.

- Ability to read and understand written instruction.

- Basic computer skills are required for daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system.
