  • Rate of Pay: $26.40 - $27.46

The Opportunity
Position Summary:

Under general supervision, performs a wide range of skilled mechanical maintenance and repair work related to the building, equipment, and operating systems as per Carewest standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Demand facility maintenance as required by the customer.
  • Preventative maintenance on all facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, life safety systems, nurse call, telephones, patient beds and lifts, plumbing, and drainage systems.
  • Assist other maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Valid Alberta Driver’s License and vehicle required.
  • Minimum two years of related experience in building maintenance in an institutional setting.
  • Mechanical aptitude and customer service experience.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system.
