Job summary

Pursuit is recruiting a Maintenance Worker to join our Jasper Maintenance Team, based at the Forest Park Hotel. In this role you will help keep our hotel properties pristine and inviting, performing routine maintenance across guest rooms, pools, restaurants and common areas.

This is a full-time year-round position with a starting salary of $24.00 per hour. Ideal candidates have a Grade 12 Diploma with trade-related education or experience, good problem solving, and the ability to multitask and

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma with trade education is an asset.
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Eager to learn and grow as part of a dynamic team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in related maintenance areas is an asset; on-site training provided.
• Basic knowledge of tools and their uses; tools provided.
• Ability to manage large workloads and multitask.
• Flexible shifts: day (7am-3pm) and night (3pm-11pm).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract; Class 4 Alberta license an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing hotel property upkeep to a high standard.
• Daily upkeep of facilities: pools, restaurants, guest rooms, meeting rooms.
• Interact with coworkers, management and guests.
• Complete basic repairs and assist with major repairs.
• Yard work: snow removal, gardening, mowing lawns.
• Promote safe work practices and assist other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are recruiting a Maintenance Worker to join our Jasper Maintenance Team. Based at the Forest Park Hotel. In your role will be responsible for keeping our spaces pristine and inviting, ensuring guests enjoy the beauty of our historic lodges, hotels, cabins, and properties.

This is a full-time year round position.

The starting salary for this position is $24.00 per hour.

Role & Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the hotel properties while maintaining the highest standard of quality
• Daily duties to maintain the upkeep of all facilities including pools, restaurants, guest rooms and meeting rooms
• Frequent interaction with coworkers, management and guests
• Complete basic repairs to guest rooms and other areas of hotel, and assist supervisors and the Maintenance Manager with major repairs
• Complete yard work as required including snow removal, gardening, mowing lawns, etc.
• Encourage and participate in safe work practices
• Assist other departments as required, including guest services, security, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualfications

• Grade 12 Diploma combined with education in a trade or equivalent experience is an asset
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills
• Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Eager to learn and grow as a member of our dynamic team
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience or knowledge in related maintenance areas is an asset (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, and painting) but on-site training can be provided.
• Basic knowledge of tools and their uses (tools provided)
• Ability to manage large workloads and demands, and effectively multitask
• Ability to work flexible shifts, day (7am-3pm) and night (3pm-11pm)
• Must have a valid driver'slicense and clean driving abstract
• Class 4 Alberta drivers license is an asset
