What will you do in this job?
- Maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences, and office for call outs.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences, and office.
- Maintain HVAC equipment with PPM, filter change programs, and coil cleaning.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
- Maintain walkways, lawns, and flower gardens throughout the year.
- Assist tradesmen/contractors when needed.
- Order parts and equipment in collaboration with the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
- Report broken or misused equipment to the Assistant Maintenance Manager / Engineering Office.
- Organize inventory of parts necessary for this position.
- Maintain compliance with all H&S programs.
- Maintain accurate reports and logs as per hotel requirements.
- Ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Learn hotel and residence fire standards and procedures.
- Respond as part of the Emergency Response Team.
- Participate in the hotel environmental program.
- Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill the job scope.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- Previous experience in Building Maintenance (PPM) – required.
- Knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems is an asset.
- Understanding of HVAC and A.H.U. systems and chiller operations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and kitchen equipment knowledge.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and team orientation.
- Willingness to learn, self-motivated, and comfortable with technical environments.
- Training on property-specific systems will be provided.
- Consent to criminal record and credit checks as part of our 'Always Honest' policy.
