The starting salary for this role is $21.50 per hour.

What will you do in this job?

• Maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences, and office for call outs.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences, and office.
• Maintain HVAC equipment with PPM, filter change programs, and coil cleaning.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Maintain walkways, lawns, and flower gardens throughout the year.
• Assist tradesmen/contractors when needed.
• Order parts and equipment in collaboration with the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
• Report broken or misused equipment to the Assistant Maintenance Manager / Engineering Office.
• Organize inventory of parts necessary for this position.
• Maintain compliance with all H&S programs.
• Maintain accurate reports and logs as per hotel requirements.
• Ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment.
• Learn hotel and residence fire standards and procedures.
• Respond as part of the Emergency Response Team.
• Participate in the hotel environmental program.
• Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill the job scope.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

• Previous experience in Building Maintenance (PPM) – required.
• Knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems is an asset.
• Understanding of HVAC and A.H.U. systems and chiller operations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and kitchen equipment knowledge.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and team orientation.
• Willingness to learn, self-motivated, and comfortable with technical environments.
• Training on property-specific systems will be provided.
• Consent to criminal record and credit checks as part of our 'Always Honest' policy.
