A gaming entertainment company in Edmonton is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support its operations. Responsibilities include general cleanup, checking the heating system, and performing minor repairs. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in maintenance, and is self-motivated with attention to detail. This role requires the ability to lift up to 75lb and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
  • Experience with maintenance coordination and trades.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleanup of designated areas.
  • Check the heating system and building exterior.
  • Design and build maintenance items as required.
  • Load, unload and move products and materials.

Overview

Title Maintenance Worker

The Maintenance Worker will support the Maintenance and Department. The successful candidate will competently perform basic plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and custodial duties. The individual will be self-motivated with a solid attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • General cleanup of designated areas
  • Check the heating system
  • Pickup and deliver items to storage building
  • Design and build items as required
  • Check building exterior
  • Maintain and organize inventory
  • Shovel sidewalks
  • Parking maintenance
  • Parking lot lights and signs must be checked weekly.
  • Lights inside casino must be checked daily / weekly
  • Coffee and Slot Cart repair
  • Table game felt and rims, check monthly
  • Slot, blackjack, poker, restaurant chairs must be checked daily
  • Restaurant tables to be checked daily
  • Check televisions
  • Do minor repairs on building as required for example: fix flooring, walls and doors
  • Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
Qualifications
  • High school diploma / GED Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and Maintenance Coordination experience;
  • First Aid skills and / or certificates are considered assets
  • Able to work well under pressure and strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with NAV considered an asset
  • Ability to drive will be considered an asset
Work Conditions
  • Overtime as required
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75lb
  • Hazards associated with the trade
  • Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends
  • Work both indoors and outdoors
