Job Description
This position is part of the Facilities team and is responsible for general maintenance duties, building repairs, snow removal, grounds care, and other related activities. It requires cross-collaboration, adaptability, initiative, and a solution-focused approach.
This is a full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-call rotation. Some evening or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :
- Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall, cabinet repairs, baseboard installation, minor plumbing and electrical work using appropriate equipment.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs of indoor and outdoor areas to ensure proper maintenance and address repairs.
- Manage upkeep of parking areas, grounds, and patios, including snow and ice removal.
- Handle custodial duties like loading dock support and garbage removal.
- Assist with furniture, equipment, and supply moves.
- Support preventative maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Respond to work requests promptly, communicating timelines.
- Use Work Management Systems for updates.
- Liaise with contractors for repairs.
- Troubleshoot issues independently and collaborate on solutions.
- Maintain understanding of Building Management Systems.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience with light trade work (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
- Solid plumbing and electrical skills
- Ability to use hardware tools and equipment
- Organized with good communication skills
- Detail-oriented and problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to operate snow removal equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- WHMIS and First Aid certification
- Experience working outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous tasks
- Clear Police and Vulnerable Sector check
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driving record
