Role: Maintenance Warehouse Operator

We're looking for our next Maintenance Warehouse Operator to join our Maintenance team. The Maintenance Warehouse Operator ensures production requirements are met through the management of a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program within budget, as directed by the Head of Maintenance and Engineering. It also includes inventory control of plant equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.

This position is located in Portage la Prairie, MB.

Job Summary:

Maintenance:

  • Assist the maintenance team with ensuring all parts required for repairs are properly issued.
  • Inspect incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy, check for damage, and confirm compliance with company standards.
  • Sort, label, and store items in designated locations following inventory management protocols.
  • Manage re-order levels of all maintenance spare parts ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials and products within the warehouse.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Follow established safety procedures and protocols.

Other Duties:

  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and maintenance principles. Proficiency with the use of SAP
  • Experience with operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or maintenance role preferred
