Job summary

Natural Factors in Kelowna is seeking an Electrician to troubleshoot and repair production, utility, and processing equipment during night shifts. You will lead projects and collaborate with multiple trades, applying welding and fabricating skills while expanding your expertise through cross training.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within a growing BC company dedicated to health and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in operation and maintenance of related equipment.
  • Trade Electrician ticket; dual trade considered an asset.
  • Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, HVAC, vacuum pumps, servo drives, and related controls.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair diverse equipment related to production, utility and processing.
  • Collaborate with other trades to foster a team atmosphere.
  • Lead projects and new equipment installations as required.
  • Utilize welding and fabricating skills and pursue cross-training opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Process Engineering and Operations to optimize equipment performance.

Pay:

$42/hour plus night shift premium

Shift:

6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 3 days off (you'll work 2 weekends per month, and you'll have 2 long weekends per month!)

In this role you will:
  • Troubleshoot and repair diverse, specialized equipment relating to production, utility, and processing
  • Work with and support other trade disciplines, creating a team atmosphere
  • Take the lead on projects and new equipment installations as required
  • Use your existing welding and fabricating skills, and learn new skills through cross training
  • Work closely with Process Engineering and Operations to optimize equipment performance
You have:
  • Multi-skilled background including experience in electronics, electrical, mechanical, structural, and piping
  • Trade Electrician ticket, dual trade considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of related equipment
  • Knowledge of compressed air, PLC controllers, instrumentation (flow/temp/pressure/encoders), variable frequency controls, DC motors and drives, vacuum pumps, andHVAC equipment, as well as servo drives, pneumatics, and HMI controls
  • An aptitude for learning and understanding operations processes
  • A collaborative approach towards problem solving
