Job summary

A global logistics company in Guelph is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment maintenance and optimization. The candidate will carry out work orders, propose modifications, and troubleshoot machine breakdowns. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical background, preferably as a Licensed Millwright, and enjoy collaborative problem-solving. This role requires night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Millwright or experience as Industrial Maintenance Person.
  • Knowledge of mechanical principles is essential.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively to improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out work orders per the maintenance plan following GMP guidelines.
  • Propose modifications to improve equipment reliability.
  • Participate in training operators and troubleshoot machine breakdowns.
  • Be available outside regular hours for critical maintenance issues.

Your Missions:

Maintenance Technician

  • Eligible for weekend compensation differential
  • Eligible for night shift compensation differential
  • Friday-Monday
  • Friday & Monday 10:00pm-6:00am
  • Saturday & Sunday 10:00pm-10:00am

The Maintenance Technician will carry out equipment and facilities maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out work orders according to maintenance plan in compliance with GMP guidelines and with all applicable company, federal, and local EH&S regulations, guidelines and policies
  • Propose modifications to improve equipment reliability and availability. Fill up reporting on carry out actions
  • Provide technical support to qualification team
  • Can participate in the training of operators
  • Propose and carry-out corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure production optimization
  • Troubleshoot and fix machine breakdowns
  • Ensure machine maintenance work instructions are kept up to date
  • Be available outside of regular working hours for critical maintenance issues, such as a Freezer breakdown
  • Participate in the afterhours-on-call rotation for issues outside of regular working hours
  • Follow up with suppliers
  • Identify needs of spare parts
  • Respect all site GMP & EHS rules
  • Assist other Ceva Canada locations with maintenance needs as required

Qualifications:
  • Licensed Millwright or experience Industrial Maintenance Person
  • Knowledge on mechanical principles
  • You enjoy collaborating and working with others to solve problems and make improvements
  • Ideally, you have HVAC or refrigeration systems knowledge and experience
