Plasman, Windsor 1 Manufacturing, 5250 Outer Drive, Oldcastle ON, N9G 0C3, is immediately seeking a new team member as a:
Maintenance Technician - Weekend Crew
Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Completing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general repairs to maintain equipment quality and production levels.
- Troubleshooting equipment and downtime issues.
- Performing preventative maintenance as per manufacturer specifications.
- Maintaining the building and performing repairs as needed.
- Fabricating or building items and performing building maintenance.
- Repair and maintenance of robotic systems.
- Maintaining maintenance logs using software.
- Promoting teamwork.
- Participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Complying with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent; preference for those with a Maintenance diploma/certificate or industrial maintenance/millwright ticket.
- Valid industrial electrician (442A) or millwright (Red Seal) certification preferred; ability to challenge the 442 electrical tests.
- Ability to pass forklift, fall arrest, and boom training.
- Willingness to be trained for the responsibilities.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
- At least four years in an industrial maintenance environment, with knowledge of PLCs (OMRON/AB), robotics (Fanuc), electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willing to work all three shifts (Days, Afternoons, Midnights).
