For Vento Las Olas, we are seeking a Maintenance Technician, Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the office environment through painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping.
• Perform hands-on maintenance of the property, including inspections, repairs, and general upkeep of interior and exterior areas.
• Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and record findings in the maintenance log.
• Provide on-call emergency services as needed.
• Collaborate with general maintenance staff to maintain grounds and keep them free of trash and debris.
• Monitor mechanical equipment such as water heaters and HVAC units.
• Diagnose malfunctions in transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and replace damaged wires and cables.
• Replace faulty electrical components like relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least two years of hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment; valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance.
• EPA or CFC certification.
