Job summary

Equinox Vancouver is seeking an energetic Maintenance Technician to join a luxury facility. Responsibilities include minor repairs of equipment and furnishings, regular inspections, and maintaining a clean, safe environment while delivering excellent service to members and guests.

The role supports operations across locker rooms, storage, and event setup, with a flexible 20-hour weekly schedule and shifts 3–5 per week. Prior tool experience and physical ability to lift 50 lbs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Experience servicing athletic equipment and using cleaning products.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Comfort using a variety of tools; own tools a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general minor repairs of club equipment and furnishings, including painting, minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Inspect fitness equipment regularly and perform preventative maintenance.
• Keep the club and equipment clean and deliver strong customer service to members and guests.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across all facility equipment.
• Ensure sidewalk entrance and lobby are presentable; manage locker rooms and storage areas.
• Receive and store deliveries; assist with special events.

Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to join the Equinox team. This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization based in a state-of-the-art, luxury facility.

• General minor repairs of club’s equipment and furnishings, including but not limited to painting, minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Conduct regular inspections of fitness equipment and perform preventative maintenance
• Ensure the club and exercise equipment are clean and well maintained while providing all members, prospective members, and guests with excellent customer service
• Maintains and upholds the safety and quality standards of the company and works closely with all departments to ensure the proper functioning of all facility equipment.
• Ensure that the sidewalk entrance and lobby are presentable
• Clean the locker room and stock all locker room consumables
• Clean and organize storage, laundry, exercise, and coat rooms
• Receive and store all deliveries
• Assist with special events

Hourly - $20/hr, 3-5 shifts per week.

Schedule - 20 hours per week, Flexible hours.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:

• Must possess a clear understanding of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment
• Ability to service athletic equipment along with previous experience working with cleaning products and hand tools
• Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilities
• Must be comfortable using a variety of tools and equipment. Having own set of tools is an asset.
• Ability to lift 50Lbs
