Job description

Working Title: Maintenance Technician, Shell Calgary, Calgary, AB
Employment Status: Full-Time
Starting Hourly Rate: $25.00per hour
Address: 500 Centre St SE Calgary AB T2G 1A6
New Hire Schedule: 7AM-3:30PM

Job Summary

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the facility.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

· Protect your own safety and the safety of others by adopting robust daily safe work practices and following all Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.

· Responding to all customer furniture service requests promptly and efficiently

· Moving and installing furniture, appliances, and other equipment and supplies

· Delivering furniture to site or to storage with minimal damage

· Hanging whiteboards, artwork, shelving, dispensers, etc.

· Conduct minor repair work to furniture, doors, lockers and other equipment

· Assist with meeting room set-ups

· Perform regular maintenance on the facility including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, and tile repair

· Inspect the facility and other structures to detect malfunctions, furniture maintenance and conduct repairs accordingly

· Ad-Hoc duties such as window and door repairs, repairing Interior walls, installing drywall for repair or replacement

· Accurate completion and updating of documentation and information (written & electronic).

· Assist Site Manager and Shift Supervisors as required, and collaborate with operational teams to achieve high-quality, customer-focused results

· Perform other work-related duties as assigned

About you:

  • Possess excellent communication skills in English both oral and written
  • Valid Driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting and extensive walking around the facility
  • Ability to operate related equipment such as manual or electric tools
  • Ability to work independently as well as get along with others
  • Should be highly detail oriented as well as ability to multitask
  • Must be aware and or trained on the safe use of equipment, site safety practices, fire prevention and work regulations
