Maintenance Technician Regular Full Time (WH MTC3 1.00) AgeCare Walden Heights

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the community, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role requires flexibility and collaboration with other staff and departments to support a successful preventative maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform and coordinate custodial duties such as snow and ice removal from walkways.
  2. Maintain and repair the interior and exterior of the building, including gardening, landscaping, and pest control.
  3. Assist with routine ground maintenance, parking areas, and driveways, including cutting, trimming, and sweeping.
  4. Perform minor repairs on building components and equipment, such as drywall, carpentry, and painting.
  5. Follow Preventative Maintenance Check Sheets and Schedules.
  6. Perform housekeeping duties in high places and mechanical areas as required.
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in painting and general maintenance.
  • A Class 5 Power Engineer ticket is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
  • High energy, team-oriented attitude, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible within a demanding environment.
