What you will do:

  • Complete all job-related paperwork (i.e.; Field service report, QMS documentation, HSE documentation, time sheets, etc.) and hand in daily
  • Maintain a minimum required vehicle stock of repair parts
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
  • Ensure daily/monthly vehicle inspections and maintenance are completed
  • Care and maintenance of company tools and equipment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently on customer site
  • Manage sub-contractors such as vacuum truck and crane services
  • Document detailed information about repair requirements, site pictures, parts used and time worked then hand into Service Administrator daily
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and assess solutions
  • Complete repairs on-site whenever possible
  • Safely remove and bring back to shop for repair when on site repair is not an option
  • Complete start-up, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, removal and installation (including): Pumps (Inline, end suction, booster, fire, column): Mechanical seal replacement, Blanking, Start-up, Motors: Shaft and gear alignment, Portable motor analysis, Fans and Blowers: Balancing, Vibration analysis, Variable Frequency Drives: start-up
  • Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
  • Provide information on parts, labour and details of how job will be completed for estimating purposes
  • Safe and proper inspection, operation and maintenance of confined space, fall protection, lifting equipment and company owned tools and equipment
  • Maintain a clean work space free of hazards such as slips, trips and falls
  • Review and follow all Safe Work Practices, Safe Job Procedures and Code of Practices
  • Supervise and mentor assigned Apprentices

  • Customer site environment
  • Extreme heat/cold
  • Driving

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for longer periods of time
  • Lifting, pulling, and pushing (up to 50 Lbs. required – over 50 Lbs. discretionary)

  • 1st or 2nd year Millwright Apprentice
  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift certification
  • Safe lifting and rigging
  • Confined space entry and monitoring
  • Fall protection
  • First Aid Training
  • Effectively communicate information
  • Above average Organizational skills
