Job summary

Manufacturingjobsite is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Ontario. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot CNC mills, lathe, and EDM equipment, and help minimize downtime across our precision components operations.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills to report issues and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand safety responsibilities including hazard identification and lockout procedures.
• Inspect, repair, troubleshoot, and diagnose machinery (CNC mills, lathe, EDM).
• Communicate/escalate maintenance concerns to the Shop Supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and costs and optimize equipment efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understand safety responsibilities such as hazard identification, and perform equipment lockout and emergency response
• Inspect / repair, troubleshooting and diagnosing machinery primarily CNC Mills, Lathe and EDM machines, such as DMG, GF, HAAS, Mori-Seiki, Okuma, Parpas, etc.
• Communicate/escalate all maintenance concerns/challenges to the Shop Supervisor
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and manage equipment efficiencies

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
