Overview

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and professional millwright. The candidate will have proficiency in the care, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery and other machine shop related equipment.

They will also provide facility maintenance and make safety-related repairs and upgrades.

We require an individual with a high degree of expertise in solving complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. The role requires an excellent working knowledge of PLCs, ladder logic, and deductive reasoning.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair CNC and related machinery.
  • Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and sheet metal repairs.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals.
  • Prioritize repairs with production management and collaborate with the production team.

Skills

  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with electric motors, drives, PLCs, and robotics, mainly Fanuc.
  • Install and debug robots for machine loading.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Follow safety strategies including lockout procedures and PPE use.
  • Work independently and troubleshoot safety circuitry and devices.
  • Maintain and repair facilities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement programs.

  • Licensed millwright in Ontario with a red seal ticket.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience.
