Overview

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and professional millwright. The candidate will have proficiency in the care, maintenance and repair of CNC machinery and other machine shop related equipment. They will also provide facility maintenance and make safety related repairs and upgrades. We require an individual with a high degree of expertise in solving complex mechanical, electrical and electronic issues. The role requires an excellent working knowledge of PLC’s, ladder logic and deductive reasoning.

Duties

1. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our CNC and related machinery.
2. Adhere to preventative maintenance schedule.
3. Welding and fabrication, along with sheet metal repair.
4. Interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams and manuals.
5. Prioritize repairs with production management and collaborate with production team.

Skills

1. Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
2. Familiar with electric motors, drives, PLC’s and robotics, mostly Fanuc.
3. Ability to install and debug robots for machine loading.
4. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
5. Understand and follow safety related strategies including lockout and PPE use.
6. Ability to work independently.
7. Troubleshoot and repair safety circuitry and devices.
8. Upkeep, repair and maintenance of 2 facilities.
9. Ability to adhere to continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

1. Licensed millwright in Ontario with red seal ticket.
2. Minimum 5 years related experience.

Shift

1. Straight day shift, permanent, paid hourly.
2. Overtime paid after 40 hours at 1.5 times normal rate.
