Cenovus Energy is seeking a Maintenance Technician, Mechanical to join our Christina Lake operations. You will report to the Maintenance Coordinator and work with Operations staff to troubleshoot, manage parts inventory, and drive the work order lifecycle in line with Cenovus standards.
The role requires a Journeyman Millwright with at least 2 years of experience, CMMS (SAP) proficiency, and a focus on safety. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting multiple Oil Sands sites as needed.

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, this role will be responsible for working with the Operations staff to provide troubleshooting expertise, providing input regarding equipment and spare part inventory, and supporting all work order process from creation to closure as per Cenovus standards. While this vacancy is currently at Christina Lake this posting could be used to fill vacancies at any of the Oil Sands Operations sites (Christina Lake, Christina Lake North, Foster Creek, or Sunrise, based on business need).
Work Environment: This is a full-time employee position working a shift rotation. All Oil Sands Operations sites have full-service camp facilities and recreational amenities.
Transportation: Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations. Foster Creek is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton as well as bus transportation to site from La Corey, AB. Christina Lake, Christina Lake North and Sunrise have service flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton. Saskatoon will become a service flight hub effective September 1, 2026. There will also be bus transportation to these sites from La Corey, AB / Lac La Biche, AB effective September 1, 2026.
