We are currently looking for aMaintenance Technician, Level 1to join our team

What you can expect in this role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Technician is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of Bitfarms data center facilities. Their goal is to ensure that all general systems, including water systems, HVAC systems, and general building infrastructure, are operating optimally. This role requires a broad technical understanding, ranging from plumbing to basic mechanical maintenance, to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the facilities. This position is essential to ensuring that the work environment and infrastructure operate efficiently and safely, supporting our large-scale operations.

More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor carpentry, plumbing, and painting repairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness and order of facilities and common areas.
• Regularly inspect facilities to identify preventive and corrective maintenance needs.
• Perform work related to building mechanics.
• Respond to requests for minor repairs and on-site improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and well-being standards in the workplace.
• Implement established company procedures and work methods.
• Participate in logistical and operational support activities as needed.
• Act as an ambassador for Bitfarms' values and culture.
• Perform other tasks related to the role and general maintenance of the data centers.

Here's the profile we're looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• At least 2 years of verifiable experience in general maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work.
• Familiarity with common maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in various temperature conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting or moving equipment up to 20 kg).
• Valid driver's license and availability to travel to sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of Office 365 software and applications (an asset).

Good to Have:

• Knowledge and experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of indicators and KPIs.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm
• Job type: Full-time, permanent.
