Job Summary

Primary duties include providing safe and timely mechanical and electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment.

Essential Functions

1. Conducts all work in a safe, efficient manner, using appropriate tools, according to established safety rules and practices while striving for ZERO Accidents.
2. Encourages Safety First, identification of Near Misses along with appropriate corrective actions.
3. Installs, maintains, and repairs plant machinery, equipment and physical structures.
4. Diagnoses failures in machinery or equipment and makes necessary repairs.
5. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment.
6. Performs and documents preventative maintenance.
7. Follows specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings and lockout/tag out procedures to make repairs.
8. Performs repairs by skillfully using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments.
9. Performs plumbing and pipe fitting and related work in installing, repairing or routing water, sewage, air and gas pipes.
10. Documents repair procedures and parts used from inventory and maintains accurate inventory of tools and equipment.
11. Performs welding, acetylene brazing, cutting torch, routine layout and other duties as needed.
12. Keeps areas clean and free of clutter.
13. Available for On Call Duty.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Minimum two (2) year technical degree in a related field or electrical/mechanical experience preferred.
2. Must have the ability to effectively use CMMS.
3. Mobile equipment operating skills, such as forklifts, crane, front-end loader etc. preferred.
4. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
5. Must be able to read and understand manuals, parts, diagrams, schematic drawings and blueprints.
6. Must demonstrate the ability to perform maintenance skills.
7. Electrical tasks such as changing motors.
8. Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented work.
9. Good oral and written communication skills.
10. Possess core values of Honesty and Integrity.

Physical Requirements

1. Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
2. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and assist with lifting heavier weight.
3. Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, walking, and climbing stairways and ladders frequently.
4. Must be able to climb and work at heights greater than 100 feet.
5. Physical endurance to withstand operation of geared equipment and to withstand heavy physical labor required of position.
