Job summary

Bosa Properties Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine property checks, handle minor repairs, and coordinate access for trades across multiple sites in Vancouver area.

You will respond to service requests and emergencies, ensuring common areas and base building elements are well maintained. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, plumbing/mechanical/electrical servicing skills, and a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a handyperson role.
• Experience with fundamental plumbing, mechanical, and electrical servicing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills (written and oral) and conflict resolution skills.
• Able to cope with changing client needs and deliver results within time frames.
• Access to a reliable vehicle and Class 5 driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts periodic property checks to follow-up on maintenance and minor repair work and reports problems.
• Performs hands-on tasks and routine cleaning for each property in the portfolio.
• Attends to emergency and service requests.
• Ensures preventative maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled and informs the Operations Manager of issues.
• Coordinates site access for trades and assists with service completion on tenant spaces.
• Assists with project coordination following contract awards.
• Responds to tenant requests and logs issues in Building Engine for tracking.
• Provides front-line customer service to tenants and acts as back-up for after-hours emergencies.

About The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting routine property checks, completing minor repairs and coordinating trade access for general maintenance of the various base building elements associated with the property. They will also assist the rest of the team in maintaining the facilities and common areas in the best possible condition and respond to service requests and emergencies as required.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts periodic property checks to follow-up on maintenance and minor repair work and reports any problems identified;
• Completes or assists with various hands-on tasks, minor maintenance items and routine cleaning (exterior perimeter) as required for each property in the portfolio;
• Attends to emergency and service requests;
• Checks that operations and preventative maintenance tasks have been completed as scheduled and communicates any issues to Operations Manager;
• Coordinates site access for various trades and assists with service completion, as directed by Operations Manager and meets trades on site and assists with access to tenant space for service completion;
• Assists Operations Manager with the coordination and implementation of projects following contract award;
• Responds to tenant requests, including those that come through Building Engine (Operations platform), for their sites and enters maintenance issues and tasks into Building Engine to track work and continuously seeks ways to reduce costs;
• Provides front-line customer service to tenants and acts as back-up for after-hours emergencies for the properties in the portfolio as needed.

This role requires a fast-paced approach of response and problem solving with an opportunity to work on numerous properties with various tenants of varying sizes and needs.

Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.

Salary

$4,780 — $65,700 CAD
