Pridestaff is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician III for a manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This is a full-time, contract-to-permanent position with opportunities for growth. Please see the job requirements below to be considered.

  • Hourly Pay Range: $30-$33
  • Shift: Work an Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) - a 12-hour shift alternating weekdays and weekends (4/3 schedule), from 5pm to 5am. Some training may be required on the first shift.

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician III is essential to our client’s packaging operations. The role involves maintaining production machinery, equipment, the physical plant, utilities, and grounds. Key responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, supporting modernization and expansion projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and improving equipment reliability. The technician must meet safety, production, quality, and performance standards.

Job Duties and Requirements

  • Follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
  • Use Maintimizer to manage work orders and complete assigned tasks.
  • Support daily service calls and plant activities to maintain operations.
  • Coordinate with the parts clerk to identify replacement parts and miscellaneous items.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance responsibilities assigned by the maintenance lead.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Perform safety inspections, work orders, and preventive maintenance to meet operational goals.
  • Manage projects, repairs, and improvements on the production line, including preventive maintenance.
  • Organize work for efficiency, track time and materials used for repairs.
  • Handle hazardous materials and waste properly, including waste oil and fluorescent bulbs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate repairs.
  • Obtain approval for maintenance purchases and follow procurement procedures.
  • Maintain tools in good condition and ensure their proper storage.
  • Be flexible to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or trade school degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, with documented Journeyman level in electrician (including PLC), millwright (hydraulics, pneumatics, piping).
  • Experience in plumbing, electrical systems, conveyors, troubleshooting PLCs, presses, and converting equipment.
  • Basic computer skills required.
