Summary

We are seeking a Level II Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will work with a diverse team to ensure safe and efficient plant operations by improving machinery and maintenance reliability. This role offers growth opportunities through on-the-job training and additional certifications. Candidates should have prior experience and knowledge of industrial maintenance fundamentals, typically obtained through the Maintenance Technician I role and certification.

Schedule : (6:00 pm - 6:00 am, Thursday - Saturday, alternating Wednesdays)

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform complex maintenance tasks, demonstrate professionalism, and occasionally guide less experienced staff.
2. Achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech II proficiency within 10 months of hire.
3. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, including preventive maintenance.
4. Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
5. Support operators with machine reliability.
6. Assist with equipment setup and changeovers.
7. Respond promptly to breakdowns, report issues, and keep work records.
8. Follow safety standards and protocols, using protective equipment as required.
9. Work scheduled shifts; occasional travel to nearby locations.
10. High School Diploma or GED and equivalent experience required.

Experience Requirements

1. 3-5 years in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, or equivalent military experience.
2. Intermediate skills in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical systems, welding, and rigging.
3. Commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

1. This is an active position involving troubleshooting and system redesign on the plant floor.
2. May require moving equipment and accessing various facilities.
3. Work environment includes wet, humid conditions, temperature variations (28°F to 100°F), exposure to noise, chemicals, and handling of products at 25°F to 50°F.
4. Use of protective safety gear is mandatory.
