Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Respond promptly to trouble calls to minimize downtime.
  • Execute work orders and supervisor/manager-directed tasks effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry procedures.
  • Document work performed and ensure the maintenance of work areas and tools.
  • Order repair parts and materials as needed.
  • Stay updated on new technologies relevant to the industry.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills in areas such as gearboxes, bearings, chains, and basic electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
  • Experience with case erectors, mixers, freezers, or dairy industry equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ammonia safety and basic operations is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50+ lbs).
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with allergens present.
