Job summary

Cintas Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift at our Halifax, NS facility. You’ll help repair, maintain and troubleshoot industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers and conveyors while supporting safety and housekeeping tasks.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial equipment, the ability to read English maintenance literature and blueprints, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or the military.
• Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English.
• Experience with and ability to read a blueprint.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Assist with performing preventive/predictive maintenance; resolving safety concerns.
• Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping; monitoring inventory supplies and maintaining maintenance records.

Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to assist with maintaining an industrial laundry facility. Responsibilities include assisting with repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment, systems and components including, but not limited to, washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems and boilers; assisting with performing preventive/predictive maintenance; resolving safety concerns; performing indoor and outdoor housekeeping; monitoring inventory supplies and maintaining maintenance records.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years'experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military
• Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English
• Experience with and ability to read a blueprint
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift
• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred

• Boiler knowledge
• HVAC experience
• Experience and ability to perform welding activities including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting and brazing
