Job Location: Fossil Rock

Overall Job Purpose:

Safely and efficiently perform all underground and surface maintenance activities as directed.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support the safety and health goals and objectives of Canyon Fuel Company, LLC.
• Perform maintenance tasks as assigned in a manner that maximizes safety and efficiency.
• Comply with Federal and State regulations.
• Work effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Maintain effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to traverse uneven surfaces, work overhead, climb, and use hand tools regularly.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and extending.
• Work in damp, and somewhat dark environments associated with an underground coal mine.

Education and Experience:

• Industrial/mining maintenance experience.
• Ability to understand equipment schematics and blueprints.
• A technical degree is a plus.
• MSHA low, medium, and high voltage electrical certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Proficient use of hand tools related to maintenance activities.
