Job description

JOB FUNCTION:


As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise in performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting is essential in helping us maintain a well-maintained and efficient environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Complete general preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Complete scheduled tasks and respond to maintenance calls
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must be at least 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training or relevant certifications in construction technology is helpful but not required
  • General electrical, plumbing, and building systems knowledge
  • Trade School or work experience in a mechanical field desired
  • PLC and VFD knowledge preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders
  • General computer skills (diagnostic and administrative)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Uses good judgement to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Must be able to lift items of up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to climb stairs, bend, stand, kneel, twist, reach, and pull frequently

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Exposure to varying temperatures
