Job description

Position: Maintenance Technician - Days.

Location: Vaughan, ON.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Industry: Manufacturing / HVAC / Maintenance.

Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent.

Schedule: Day shift.

Responsibilities:
  1. Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine breakdown issues and/or to order necessary parts.
  2. Trouble shoot repairs, install parts with a working knowledge of mechanical & electrical for efficient repair.
  3. Conduct and perform planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records.
  4. Minimize production downtime by responding to production calls promptly.
  5. Comply with all regulations relating to equipment for a manufacturing facility.
  6. Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect, investigate and resolve malfunctions.
  7. Record keeping of all maintenance activities daily.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Post-Secondary Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. 4 - 5 years related maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  3. Hands-on experience in machine maintenance.
  4. Experience in metal manufacturing plant a definite asset.
  5. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
