Job description

Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance products and services for the hospital, institutional, and industrial markets, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This position supports the Day Shift with a regular 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday schedule. The technician will troubleshoot and repair facilities and production equipment in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, and will be responsible for daily maintenance, preventative maintenance, and proactively addressing issues.

What You Will Do :
  • Follow instructions for daily maintenance, scheduled preventive/corrective maintenance, and proactively address issues
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently to provide solutions using continuous improvement and TPM methodologies
  • Repair and maintain machines and equipment safely, working with production to restore functionality
  • Identify and troubleshoot automation and controls issues to minimize downtime
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety inspections
  • Complete work orders in CMMS, providing detailed repair and maintenance information
  • Participate in group discussions, meetings, and communicate effectively across shifts
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with all procedures and regulations
  • Complete required training sessions regularly
Position Details :
  • Location: Mississauga, ON (Eglinton / Tomken)
  • Work week: Day Shift 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Training Shift: Day Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, for approximately 1 month
Minimum Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Electrician license (442A) or in process of obtaining
  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems, PLC-based applications
  • Elementary math skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • No immigration sponsorship available
Physical Demands :
  • Ability to perform physical duties, lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Vocational training or equivalent experience in industrial applications
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, high places, and difficult situations
  • Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, hydraulics, valves, rigging
  • Experience in TPM environment
  • Millwright license is an asset
