Job summary

Paterson Grain seeks an energetic Maintenance Technician to oversee routine maintenance of processing, storage and shipping systems at the Assiniboia terminal. You will coordinate inspections, track component life cycles, and perform safety audits under the General Manager's supervision.

Appointees will maintain ISO-based records, handle some back‑up duties for Grain Assistants, and contribute to continuous reliability improvements while upholding high safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to multi-task.
• Carpentry experience is an asset.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate mechanical, and structural repairs to maintain operations of existing plant systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Ensure all periodic inspection reports and work tickets are maintained in accordance with ISO 22000 requirements for the terminal.
• Track life cycle of major components and forecast wear-out times.
• Conduct routine maintenance and perform safety audit.
• Provide augmentation and back-up to Grain Assistants as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

We are currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Maintenance Technician. This position would be stationed out of our terminallocated in Assiniboia, SK.
