Job summary

Paterson Grain in Assiniboia, SK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our terminal team. You will coordinate, track and perform routine maintenance across processing, storage and shipping systems to keep operations running smoothly.

The role reports to the General Manager and requires strong mechanical aptitude, 5+ years in industrial settings, and the ability to work safely within ISO 22000 guidelines. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to multi-task.
• Carpentry experience is an asset.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate mechanical and structural repairs to maintain plant operations.
• Ensure all inspection reports and work tickets align with ISO 22000 requirements.
• Track life cycle of major components and forecast wear-out times.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety audits.
• Provide augmentation and back-up to Grain Assistants as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Maintenance Technician. This position would be stationed out of our terminal located in Assiniboia, SK. Reporting to the General Manager, this individual will play a critical role within the facility coordinating, tracking and performing routine maintenance and upkeep of all processing, storage and shipping systems on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate mechanical, and structural repairs to maintain operations of existing plant systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Ensure all periodic inspection reports and work tickets are maintained in accordance with ISO 22000 requirements for the terminal.
• Track life cycle of major components and forecast wear‑out times.
• Conduct routine maintenance and perform safety audit.
• Provide augmentation and back‑up to Grain Assistants as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
