Skretting is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Vancouver to perform inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The role focuses on preventing malfunctions and executing corrective actions in a 12-hour shift pattern with 3 days per week, with weekly rotation.

Ideal candidates have a millwright background or relevant education, plus 10+ years in manufacturing maintenance. Strong data analysis and teamwork are valued as part of a manufacturing环境.

Qualifications

• Millwright qualification or equivalent with relevant maintenance training.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in maintenance/mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years' manufacturing experience in production and maintenance.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspections, preventive & planned maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform emergency repairs.
• Execute equipment modifications and upgrades and participate in complex maintenance projects.

What you’ll do

• Inspections, Preventive &Planned Maintenance: Assess and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Fix defects and perform corrective tasks based on inspection results. Flag potential issues early and suggest long‑term solutions. Operates within maintenance, with a focus on execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. Prevent any malfunction of the equipment, apparatus, machinery or systems that are used in the production process. Participating in complex maintenance projects.
• Malfunctions &Emergency Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, evaluate severity and determine repair urgency, perform hands‑on repairs and consult with supervisors when needed
• Modifications &Upgrades: Execute overhaul and modification work per instructions, recommend improvements based on your experience and technical insight

Knowledge of EAM, for maintenance operations, contractors' management and root cause analysis

Millwright or formal education or qualification in field of maintenance and mechanical, including a bachelor's degree or diploma, along with relevant experience in the manufacturing field or engineering industry.
