Overview

Position: Maintenance Technician (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: West Point Grey, Vancouver, British Columbia

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

This role will require someone to be onsite Monday to Friday (9-5). Reporting to the building management team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing regular maintenance duties at a residential property which includes but is not limited to:

  • Minor appliance repair and fixture installation
  • Minor heating and plumbing repairs
  • Minor repair of electrical systems
  • Other repairs such as basic carpentry, drywall patching, and painting
  • Inspection of common areas and premises
  • Communication with contractors, the property management team and other parties, as required (i.e., email, phone, etc.)
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Two (2) years’ experience with building operational systems (i.e., drywall repairs, general maintenance, mechanical, electrical and plumbing preferred)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow direction and work without supervision
  • A professional and service-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication/computer skills; both verbal and written
  • Access to reliable vehicle transportation to aide in supplies procurement
  • Availability to work weekends/on-call rotation for after hour emergencies
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset, but not required
