Job description

Job Description : We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our corporate office in Surrey, British Columbia (Canada). This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment and general building maintenance by conducting quality control analysis to evaluate performance and compliance for smooth operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of VanGogh’s production and processing equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Liaise with CNC Programmers and Machinists to troubleshoot program, mechanical, or tool-related issues.
  • Inspect the operating condition of all equipment and log repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Train production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
  • Complete general repairs for plumbing, heating systems, and other building components according to fire safety plans.
  • Coordinate repairs with contractors as needed.
  • Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual) and perform emergency repairs.
  • Source and price replacement or repair items following VanGogh’s purchasing guidelines.
  • Coordinate maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools to minimize downtime while keeping costs within budget.
  • Analyze operational problems, test equipment, correct issues, develop and maintain plans, and provide input regarding maintenance issues.
  • Perform regular maintenance of CNC Machines and coordinate with technicians.
  • Maintain company vehicles (forklifts, vans, etc.) and keep maintenance logs up to date.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • Prior maintenance experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment as per standards.
  • In-depth machinery maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
  • Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports.

Note : Competitive salary will be proposed depending upon experience and skillset.
