Job Description:

PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, groundskeeping, physical structures, and electrical systems in the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Install power supply, wiring, and conduit to machinery and equipment.
  2. Work safely with three-phase and single-phase wiring.
  3. Move machines and office equipment as needed.
  4. Possess knowledge of welding and CNC machine-related equipment.
  5. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, control boxes, wires, and cables.
  6. Recycle components in working condition from faulty electrical and mechanical parts such as motors, relays, switches, sensing devices, gears, and shafts.
  7. Troubleshoot and repair electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
  8. Plan wiring layouts and install wiring for machinery, equipment, and communication lines.
  9. Assist in maintaining a clean shop environment.
  10. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, cranes, hoists, forklifts, and building systems.
  11. Oversee heating, cooling, and compressed air systems.
  12. Comply with lockout/tagout procedures.
  13. Support quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide a safe and clean work environment. Maintain facility and production equipment through preventative maintenance and timely repairs.

Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
