Job summary

TORCH REMOTE CAMPS is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support modular camp facilities in Alberta and Northern BC. You will help keep accommodations and equipment safe, comfortable, and functional across remote camp environments.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in demanding outdoor conditions while following safety protocols and reading maintenance manuals and work orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, modular buildings, camps, hotels, or a related trade.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, or general building systems is an asset.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, work orders, and procedures.

Maintenance Technicians - Remote Modular Camps - Up to $36/hr - Edmonton, AB

TORCH REMOTE CAMPS is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join their team in Alberta and Northern BC. These technicians will be responsible for maintaining modular camp facilities, ensuring accommodations and equipment are safe and functional. The ideal candidates are hands-on, skilled in troubleshooting, and take pride in providing a comfortable camp environment for residents and staff.

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, modular buildings, camps, hotels, or a related trade
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, or general building systems is an asset
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, work orders, and procedures
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and respond to urgent issues
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s licence may be required
• First Aid certification is an asset
• Trade certification or relevant technical training is an asset
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, equipment, and materials
• Ability to work from ladders and in confined or restricted areas
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in various positions for extended periods
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks safely

What Will Make You Stand Out

• 3 years of remote camp installation experience (preferred)
