JLL in Edmonton is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities Management Team at a major client site. The role covers general repairs, equipment maintenance, landscaping, and site duties with on-call responsibilities on weekdays.

You will respond to service requests using a CMMS, perform preventive maintenance, and support other trades. Strong communication and minimal supervision are expected from a reliable, safety‑minded professional.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of building repairs and maintenance experience, preferably industrial.
• Driver’s license to operate on-site vehicles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to perform regular inspections and implement improvements.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client service requests and use CMMS to open and action work orders.
• Provide handyman services for general repairs (flooring, painting, locks, ceilings).
• Maintain building equipment and assist with landscaping and outdoor duties.
• Support other building trade personnel as directed.
• Perform site labour tasks (snow shoveling, salting, cleanup, deliveries).
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; perform related duties as needed.

What this job involves:

JLL is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities’ Management Team at a prominent energy client in Edmonton (Refinery Row) . This role reports to the Operations Lead and will be responsible for all facility maintenance and repairs. Hours of work are weekdays with on-call responsibilities.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Respond to client service requests as quickly and efficiently as possible. Utilize JLL’s CMMS software to open and action work orders

• Provide handyman services in the areas of general repairs such as flooring, touch-up painting, locks and hardware, ceiling tiles, etc.

• Provide maintenance and repairs to building equipment and assist with landscaping and other outdoors duties

• Provide assistance as directed to other building trade personnel.

• Conduct general site labour duties throughout the site such as snow shoveling and salting of building entrances/walkways as required, site clean up - emptying of garbage receptacles and debris removal, delivering packages, relocating supplies/equipment etc.

• Maintain work areas clean, efficient, and organized at all times.

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned from time-to-time.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years+ experience in general building repairs and maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting

• Driver’s license to operate JLL work vehicle on-site.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with high level of professional and commitment to service excellence.

• Ability to perform regular inspections of building and identify, recommends and implements improvements.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to perform the requirements of the job with minimal supervision and to complete the assigned duties and responsibilities as per agreed deadlines or established schedules.
