Job summary

Nature Fresh Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Delta facility. You will perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and simple machinist tasks, using hand and power tools, while coordinating with the maintenance manager to prioritize work orders.

Ideal candidates have millwright or related maintenance experience, familiarity with electrical tools, and the ability to read manuals and drawings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years millwright or related maintenance experience.
• Familiar with manual and electrical tools.
• Ability to read work orders, manuals and drawings.
• Willingness to work 50–55 hours per week and on-call schedule.
• Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Check and close work orders in ConnectWise with the maintenance team.
• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Carpentry and plumbing tasks around the farm as needed.
• Diagnose problems and replace parts; test and adjust.
• Ensure safety protocols and clean, orderly work areas.

We are currently looking to fill a full-time for a Maintenance Technicianin our Maintenance Department at our Deltafacility.

What You'll Do

Job Specific Duties:

• Checking work orders on ConnectWise, prioritizing their work orders with the assistance of the maintenance manager or maintenance admin assistant, and updating and closing them when completed.
• Basic troubleshooting and completing routine repairs, general maintenance, and preventative maintenance, such as: installation and maintenance of machines and equipment, emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as well as scheduled maintenance repairs as directed.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities, as directed.
• Assist with diagnosis of problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions around the farm as required.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual issues to the maintenance manager.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Borrow and return tools/supplies that the farm provides.
• Ability to give direction to the maintenance assistant when needed, and the ability to guage when they need further direction from the senior tech or manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• I-3 years millwright, welding, tool and die and/or general farm maintenance experience are preferred.
• Experience utilizing both manual and electrical tools.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and other types of reports, like manuals and drawings.
• Basic math abilities are required.
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze and reason problems.
• Some confidentiality regarding company-related matters
• Multi-tasking, time management and prioritizing are essential.
• Able to work independently but also a good team player.
• Expected to report to work from Monday-Saturday, with occasional Sundays.
• Able to work 50–55-hour work weeks.
• Must be able to work on an on-call schedule.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be safety minded and have a commitment to following safety protocols.
• Safety shoes required.
• Must have their own set of tools.
• Travel from one location to the next or phase to phase may be required.

What To Expect

• The warehouses/greenhouses may be hot, humid, moist, or cold at any time of the year.
• Exposure to pests in the greenhouse
• Working at heights is a requirement for maintenance.
